We were delighted to welcome professional concert pianist and published recording artist Varavara Tarasova to Hanna Pianos this weekend.
After the showroom was closed for the day Varvara was kind enough to play for us on our own A. Hanna & Sons branded acoustic upright piano!

Winner of the first prize, audience prize and best performance of the compulsory piece at the 3rd Sussex International Piano Competition, Russian pianist Varvara Tarasova has just released her first CD of Brahms and Schumann with Champs Hill Records, getting positive reviews by Gramaphone Magazine.
She has also found success at over 15 international piano competitions and festivals.
Varvara has recently graduated with an Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music where she also received her Masters in Performance, supported by Sir Roger and Lady Carr, Soirée d’Or. Varvara also received a potstgraduate degree from Moscow State Conservatory.
Varvara has performed across Europe, the USA, Brazil and Russia including a concerto performance with the Kremlin Chamber Orchestra, the Russian Chamber Orchestra, the Worthing Symphony Orchestra, Northampton and Worthing Symphony Orchestra and others.
Varvara also has a distinguished solo career, having given recitals at venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Elgar Room and Steinway Hall and the Great Hall at Moscow State Conservatory.
Varvara has a longstanding collaboration with the Yamaha Artistic Centre (this autumn performing as part of their silent piano series).
This month Varvara will perform Mozart Piano Concerto with Worthing Symphony Orchestra and will also give a solo recital in Germany and Russia.
