The Ensemble always likes to celebrate the end of the year, not just with free mulled wine and mince pies, but with a big festive piece, and Mozart’s favourite pupil Johann Nepomuk Hummel is just the man for the job. Hummel’s splendid Septet is preceded by one of his master’s most celebrated works, and the programme also features three delightful pieces by our much-loved pianist, which he has specially dedicated to the Colour House Ensemble.
