New SH3 model for 2023

A top-quality Yamaha SH3 type SILENT Piano™ silencing system has been added to this U1. When the SILENT Piano™ function is activated, the hammers will no longer hit the strings. Instead, a highly sophisticated sensor-technology captures all movements of the keys and sends them to the digital tone module. Play a real acoustic piano with headphones at any time, day or night, without being disturbed or disturbing others. The Yamaha Silencing System is unsurpassed, allowing 24hr practice as well as possessing many other features. There are a range of pre-installed sounds, and you can record your own performances or connect mobile devices to use the latest Apps.

You can play SILENT Piano™ SH3 type with the voices of CFX, Yamaha's finest concert grand piano, and Bösendorfer's legendary Imperial. All 88 keys are sampled individually. As Yamaha's flagship grand piano, the majestic CFX boasts a wide range of tonal variations, from sparkling high notes to powerful bass tones. The legendary Bösendorfer, meanwhile, is renowned for its sonorous and rich Viennese sound.

As an improvement to the Yamaha U1 SH2 ¹ version, the U1 SH3 includes an extra five pre-installed sounds. It also comes with two-track recording, an improved key sensor system, Forte piano and Grand Expression modelling.

• Bluetooth –  Stream audio files through the SILENT Piano™ SH3 with headphones by using a Bluetooth-enabled smart device. Enjoy playing along with any songs on your smart device.
• Metronome – SILENT Piano™ SH3 has a built-in metronome that can be used in the SILENT Piano™ function so that players can listen to precise rhythm while they play.
• Two-track Recording – Equipped with a built-in two track recording function for recording at the touch of a button.
• USB Recording – A function for recording to a USB flash drive. This function creates audio files that can be saved or played back on computers or burned onto CDs. Recordings are saved in WAV format.
