Yamaha P116 Upright Piano

The Yamaha P116 satisfies need for modest dimensions. Whilst refining the standard, Yamaha have been able to deliver a clear, rich and more sustaining tone. This piano's strings, hammers and soundboard have been crafted to a very high quality, resulting in tone that is clear in the upper-mid and treble registers whilst maintaining a balanced bass. Externally, the P116 has an elegantly styled cabinet with a two piece top lid and rounded edges.

The P Series represents mid-range pianos with high-end quality and features. The attention to detail and quick responsiveness of the keyboard and action mechanism make this piano feel like a piano with a much higher price.

The Yamaha P116 is the smaller of the two P series upright piano models. Its compact case and high inherent build quality make it a great choice for the advancing home pianist. Despite its small size, it is certainly capable of performing as required for the higher grades. The P series models Yamaha uses the top-quality 'Strunz' German soundboards, produced from aged Austrian spruce, and it is clear the P Series has been made with a European customer base in mind.
