The factory-fitted silent system enables the piano to be played like a digital piano and listen whilst wearing headphones, without affecting the touch or response.

Pearl River soundboards use 100% close grained high altitude northern spruce. A solid spruce core ensures maximum transference of energy across the soundboard. This brings a lively tone and responsiveness normally only associated with top-class piano manufacturers.
Each face of the solid spruce soundboard has an offset thin epidermal layer of spruce. This specially engineered feature enhances the energy transfer across the soundboard and strengthens the solid core to withstand changes in climatic conditions. Unlike many other entry-level new pianos, Pearl River soundboards resist cracking while maintaining a beautiful tone throughout the life of the piano.
German piano wire is used to give a clear tone and tuning stability. Bass strings are copper wound by Pearl River using the latest machines to precise tolerances to ensure clear and resonant bass registers.
