Marryat Players Winter Series 2023
The Marryat Players are delighted to announce their second Winter Series in January 2023 and look forward to welcoming you to four exceptional evenings of chamber music.
Kleio Quartet
Pianist Omri Epstein and the Kleio Quartet open the Series on Friday 6th January with one of Schumann’s finest works, his exuberant piano quintet in E flat major. English composers Henry Purcell, Harrison Birtwistle and Benjamin Britten complete the programme.
Wednesday 11th January brings a night at the opera, with Arias and duets from operas by Verdi, Wagner, Puccini, Mozart and Massenet from baritone David Stout and soprano Rachel Nicholls.
The series continues on Monday 16th January with a C major-inspired programme of piano works from Beethoven, Brahms and Schumann by pianist Jianing Kong.
Busch Trio
On Thursday 19th January, the Marryat Players Winter Series will conclude with the Busch Trio playing Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No.2 in C minor Op.66, and Schubert’s Trout Quintet.
Each programme will be 75 minutes long and performed without an interval at 3 Marryat Road, Wimbledon Village, SW19 5BB.
