Marryat Players Chamber Music Festival 2022

We’re delighted that concert life is returning to normal and that we can once again add our support to Marryat Players Chamber Music Festival 2022 in June. Full-length performances and interval drinks in the garden promise to make it an exciting few days.

The festival opens with Beethoven’s much loved Septet for winds and strings and ends with his mighty Archduke piano trio. There will also be music by Mozart, Schubert, Richard Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Kabalevsky, Schönberg, Fauré and Ravel.  The first late-night jazz concert from Marryat Players takes place on Saturday evening with the brilliant Julian Bliss Septet, who will be celebrating the iconic melodies of George Gershwin.

Their award-winning musicians include clarinettist Sasha Rattle, violinists Benjamin Baker, Emily Nebel, Hyeyoon Park and Bartosz Woroch, violists Jenny Lewisohn, Hannah Strijbos and Dorothea Vogel, cellists Bartholomew LaFollette, Matthijs Broersma and Peteris Sokolovskis, pianists Zeynep Özsuca and Caroline Palmer and the Festival Orchestra conducted by Thomas Carroll.

All in all, the Marryat Players Chamber Music Festival 2022 will bring four memorable days of chamber music.
